Burns
Garfield Funeral Home is a fourth generation funeral home originally
founded by E.P. Burns in the early 1900's. It was carried by J.P.
Burns and then by Sehl Burns, and was located on West Onondaga Street.
With the acquisition of Garfield Funeral Home on Westcott Street in
1979, the business became Burns-Garfield Funeral Home.
The
new facility, located at 3125 East Genesee Street, has parking for
100+ cars and a seating capacity of 350 people, and is completely
handicap accessible. Selection of the casket, monument, vault, urn
and flowers can all be made at the time of arrangement.
We
believe that children, as well as adults, should feel as comfortable
as they would in their own home. This is why we have a children's
area with tables,

chairs,
books, vcr, movies and toys to help them feel welcome.
We
also have a collection of books, tapes and movies to help people of
all ages and beliefs understand and cope with the various stages of
the death process.
