Joan M. Good, wife of Dr. Clifton H. Good, died Friday, May 10, 2013 at Upstate Medical Center.
She attended St. Lawrence University where she met Clifton H. Good and they were married August 14, 1954 in Rochester, NY. After Cliff graduated dental school , the couple moved to Syracuse in 1961 where Cliff set up his dental practice and they have resided since.
Joan was an avid volunteer and served as President of Techumseh PTA, President of Onondaga County Dental Auxiliary, President of the Syracuse Stage Auxiliary, President of the Corinthian Club, President of the Wagon Wheel Foundation and President of the Crouse Irving Auxiliary where she was responsible for establishing Lights of Love.
Joan had a passion for playing bridge, gardening, needlepoint, discovering her ancestry and world travel visiting over 70 countries.
Joan is predeceased by her parents Frances & Gordon MacKay and son James C. Good. Surviving are her husband, Clifton H. Good; daughter, Melissa Joan Good Stuckey (James); Son, Stephen M Good; brother, James MacKay (Barb); Grandson, Joshua A.Stowell; granddaughter, Karleigh Jordan Stuckey; cousins, neices, nephews and several good friends.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, May 17, 2013 at Burns-Garfield Funeral Home 3175 East Genesee St. Syracuse, NY 13224. Calling hours will be Thursday May 16 2013 from 4-7 pm at Burns-Garfield.
